Default Dancer CC

DANCER CC

General
Dancers are a profession that weaken enemies and support allies with their dazzling dances and their grace. They use many spells that lure specific enemies to a specific location and cause devastating hexes to weaken their defense and attacks. They can also energize allies with their dances.

Explanation
The dancers are a class that debuff enemies and also support allies. Their dances can be used either to support allies or debuff enemies. Some of their skills include luring a group of enemies to a certain area. This can be useful for traps and area-of-effect spells. They use batons which are rods that are tossed to the target and are spun back to the dancer like a boomerang. This weapon is a one-handed weapon which is commonly used with a focus.

Class Role
Disabler/Supporter

Armor Level
Caster Armor, 60 AL

Energy Level
High Energy, 30 Energy, 4 Energy Regen (Caster Energy)

Weapon
They use weapons called "batons" that does blunt damage to the target.

Attributes

Primary Attribute:
Grace: You gain 1 energy for each dance that affects an ally or opponent.

Example:
Dancer's Passion. Spell. You gain 3...5...7 energy for each recharging dance in your skill bar (maximum 21 energy gain).

Encore. Elite Spell. For 5...17...20 seconds, your dances recharge 33% faster. Your skills are recharged instantly if you gain energy from the Grace attribute.

Secondary Attributes:
Baton Mastery: Increases the damage you do with Batons and your chance to inflict a critical hit when using a batons. Many skills, especially baton attack skills become more effective with higher baton mastery.

Example:
Blaze Baton: Baton Attack. If this attack hits, it deals +5...21...25 damage and sets target foe on Fire for 1...3...3 seconds.

Lyssa's Storm: Baton Attack. This attack deals chaos damage. If this attack hits, you gain 3...5...7 energy.

Elegant Strike: Baton Attack. If this attack hits, target foe is interrupted and that skill takes 5...7...10 more seconds to recharge.

Performance: No inherent effect. Many skills, especially dances, become more effective with Performance.

Example:
Dance of Spring: Dance. For 10 seconds, all adjacent allies gain +1...3...4 health regeneration.

Holy Symbol Dance: Dance. For 8...18...20 seconds, all allies attacks deal holy damage.

Dance of Midnight: Dance. For 7...17...20 seconds, all foes are blinded.

Captivation: No inherent effect. Many skills, especially those related to luring and weakening opponents, become more effective with Captivation.
(Luring spells have the range of a longbow)

Example:
Charming Gaze: Luring Spell. Lure 1...3...5 enemies towards your area. You gain 1 energy for each enemy in your area.

Hypnotic Motions: Hex Spell. Must follow a dance. All adjacent foes become dazed for 5...17...20 seconds.

Bedazzle: Hex Spell. Must follow a dance. Target foe's skills take twice as long to recharge for 5..17...20 seconds.

Here is a picture I drew to show what I imagine the dancer CC looks like...

Constructive criticism is appreciated!

It sounds too much like a combination of the Ritualist, Paragon, and Elton John.

I understand the paragon part but why does it sound too much like a combination of the Ritualist and Elton John?

Side Note: sry, this post wil be also partwise something OT, because i've to get something of my Heart, wherefore it makes no sense to make an own extra thread for - this stuff comes ever into my mind, when I look at Dervishs and I know, that THEY are theoretically the Dancer Class of GW

Instead of being totally dumb and overpowered looking Wannabe-Gods, they should have been GW's unique Dancer-Class, because that is it, for what Dervishs are famous - for their Dances.

But then more with Attributes like:

Grace
Whip Mastery > 1H Weapon/with Focus Item
Scythe Mastery > 2H Weapon
Battle Dances (these are either Special attack Stances or buff Parties Attack Abilities)
Event Dances (these are either for Group Support or Healings)

Dances would be Maintaining Group Support Skills, btw. some sort of Maintaining Stances.

That would have been from the begin on the perfect Dervish Dancer. And instead of this Wannabe god Crap, anet should have given us for a Shapeshifter-Profession instead then either the Druid, or the Occultist.

Those 2 would have been 2 optional Shapeshifter Classes, that would have been much better and would have been much more authentic, than the Dervish is anyhow.
Would have Anet brought us the Druid, beign able to shapeshift into Animal Forms, we would have have a very authentic good not too overpowered looking Profession, which would be also the much better solution, for the shapeshift into Bear, Volfen and Raven Form. Because these are 3 of the most typical Animal Forms, druids transform into >.>

But that would have meant, that the Norns wouldn't fit anymore to the game and that they would be total useless then - that anet should have thought then about a new more interesting new Race, that should not replace the Druid, because nothing else is the reason, why Anet gave the Norns the ability to shapeshift into atm "only" a Bear Form, so that they have a reason, not to give us Druids, because then they can say:

"Why should we give you Druids, you can play Norns instead >.>" God, if that is really so, I personally hope realyl at least, anet made their homeworks and makes their job good, by giving Norns later the ability to shapeshift also into Wolfs and Raven, by getting the powers of the other Animal Spirits - not only being ugly big teddybear, then this new race would be just absolute too boring, when being a Werebear is their only feature and the rest is only the body size then, being the biggest race >.> boring..nah there has to be more, to bee interestign enough as new race.
Same goes for the other races.
--------

Even the occultist would have been a much better Shapeshifter Class, by going on Pacts with Demons& the Devil, receiving the powers of those, with that the occultist has performed together a Pact Ritual, shapeshifting into powerful Half Demons then.
That would look powerful yes, but not as overpowered, like being a Wannabe God.

And the paragon is the same stupid wannabe stuff...should have been better from the beginn on the "Templar" Profession, or the "Cleric" pression, there would fit muhc better the combined concept of angelic powers together with holy chants and songs.
Instead of this dumb paragon concept, they should have made out of it the "Hunter" Class, a Hunter who fights with spears would have been fitting to Nightfall much better, than those paragons (what is even no name for a profession at all, or can you make money by being a paragon to somebody else ???)

Woulld have been NF the Occultist and the Cleric for example, this alone would have been also a good twilight of those 2 professions, which could have been used storywise for an Evil/ Good Scenario in Nighfall too similar to that, what was made in NF - Lightbrigners fighting against the evil Demons.
by this story around twilight, NF could have been also a bit more like Factions, with 2 new factions for Elona, also giving players finally the choice then. to step on the evil side of the Might XD
-----------

However, enough OT XD

To your CC:

its a good base model, would Dancers be a total own Profession, but I personally don't see Dancers a magelike Class with Squishy Armor, that would absolitely not fit to their Mid Range Weapon...

Nah, they would need AL of 70 to be effective as Midliners, stay with 30 Energy, but reduce e reg to >>> with an additiodal > pip, when being in a stance

This sounds imo too much like a combination of ignorance, cluelessness and a loser who fails in comparing. Someone, who compares apples with oranges >.>

Because in the back of my mind a Ritualist and Paragon are much the same. Sure, they have large differences that make them seperate classes, but when is adding another class overkill. Why add a dancer class to a game which already has two professions which help "buff" their party members...Especially one that uses whips...

After Factions, I've been horribly opposed to adding new professions to the game, it has stretched playing styles out too much, giving (if it's possible) too many avenues of play style.

Oh, and a dancer class sounds rather gay to me (Elton John), Ritualist or Paragon should just have its skill selection expanded.

They're both dubbed as support class characters, why add another?

Just like, why do we need another melee character, we've already Warriors, Assassins, and Dervish.

All I'm opposed to is the fact that I believe the game's already saturated with character types who have small, but subtle differences...There's no necessity for more.
